An open letter to Jesinta Campbell..(Miss Universe Australia).. After so many years in this industry.. (that I still to this day love).. and a tremendous amount of time spent helping and nurturing up and coming talent..I have two words for you and your parents Jesinta Campbell.. "complete disappointment".. here is an interesting story for you: We can, as a creative team remember a young impressionable girl and her mother talking to us about the future, telling us about their high level of honesty, integrity and loyalty, asking our advice collectively based on almost 100 years of experience between us..(and there were four other witnesses there in a six hour meeting we all had to back this up)..obviously as far as this girl and her family are concerned talk is cheap.. We talked about her image, how to approach a photo shoot with certain magazines, so what does she do ..go and do it without even consulting us, behind our backs, I thought she and her family valued her image and would stay well clear of what some would call almost soft porn pictures..(is this the role model this girl would want to portray for young Australian girls if she were Miss Universe Australia?).. We spent as a creative team many many hours creating face book pages and groups amongst other things, with no payment or thank you, we were always there to say something positive to media and the public..and you know what.. its time to speak out..what we did was out of passion, belief in this girl and hard work.. at this stage there has been no appreciation shown, not even a thank you phone call.. I don't know about the current generation but to our generation a verbal agreement was more important than a formal contract.. If this girl and her family use, and I quote words to the effect of "If I give my word I really mean it".. they should not say this unless they mean it.. Well there you have it, sad story really, even a bit gut wrenching.. Jesinta Campbell the question I ask you is, can you see yourself in this story..I hope not, because if you do I would feel extremely sorry for you as a person.. but, you and your family are the only ones that can answer that question.. If there is a lesson to learn please learn it, if not I wish you all the luck and success possible.. -- .
