On November 10, 2010, all superstars, VIPs, industry executives, fans gather in Nashville to celebrate the 44th Annual CMA Awards. The 2010 CMA Awards features spectacle, accolades and countless special moments.

 


The Country Music Association Awards, also known as CMA Awards, or CMAs, takes place annually at the home of Nashville\'s Grand Ole Opry to celebrate performances of top country music stars as well as up-and-coming new artists. The history of CMA dates back to 1967 when the first ceremony was untelevised and the Entertainer of the Year award went to The Tennessee Plowboy Eddy Arnold.

 


Country Music\'s Highest Honors are awarded accoding to 12 categories: Entertainer of the year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Vocal Duo of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Musician of the Year, Music Video of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Votes are recorded by industry professional members of the Country Music Association and undergo three rounds of voting.

At this 44th Annual CMA Awards, Miranda Lambert has made the revolution when bringing home three trophies including Female Vocalist, Album for Revolution and Music Video of the Year for “The House That Built Me”. These are three first awards in the Texas bombshell’s career.
