The photo "Eruption of Gunung Rinjani", depicting an active Indonesian volcano by photographer Aaron Lim Boon Teck won the title Grand Prize Winner and Nature Winner during the 2010 National Geographic Photography Contest. By tradition, National Geographic Photography Contest is an annual photo contest hosted by National Geographic, a prestigious U.S magazine. The 2010 Geographic Photography Contest is the gathering and presentation of photo submissions from both amateur professional photographers all over the world. This year, there are more than 16,000 entries submitted from around the globe arranged into three categories of People, Places and Nature attached with impressive captions. With the impressive photo "Eruption of Gunung Rinjani", photographer Aaron Lim Boon Teck from Singapore earned the tittle Grand Prize Winner and Nature Winner with the worth of 10,000 U.S dollars, besides, he got a trip to National Geographic magazine headquarters in Washington, D.C in order to participate in the annual National Geographic Photography Seminar in January 2011.
