After about 50 years being hidden in a private archive, series photos of Marilyn Monroe taken when she came to visit and relax in an apartment in New York city 9 months before she died was revealed and on sale publicly.
These black and white photos were taken in a December day, 1961 by Len Steckler when Monroe suddenly came by his apartment to see his friend, Carl Sandburg, the poet won Pulitzer-prize.

Len Steckler called the series “Marilyn Monroe: The Visit". When Monroe, wearing sunglasses, short sleeve dress in her bright smile chatted, held hands and drank Jack Daniels whiskey with Sandburg, Len Steckler with his camera, in a “flying” emotion, continuously shot the famous appealing lovely actress.

When his son recently discovered the negatives which the photographer has forgotten for years, Steckler decided to sell the photos for “the current generation” to see. The pictures series include four single image and two triptychs. Each piece will be printed to 250 copies and cost from $1,999 to $3,999.
